Office paper is often also an essential consumable in offices, including HoReCa. Although we live in the digital age, more than 115 billion sheets of paper are still wasted worldwide every year. And few people think about how important it is to use paper economically. In offices, the flow of printed documents is simply huge, but most of them quickly lose their value and are sent to the wastebasket in the first hour after receipt. At the same time, companies spend significant financial resources on providing employees with printing paper, printers and consumables for them. But you can save the company's budget, while contributing to the improvement of the environmental situation in the world.
Paper usage can be reduced in the following ways:
- The transition to electronic document management will reduce deforestation and your costs, as well as increase the speed of document management. For important documentation, it is worth using paper carriers, but most of the internal affairs of the company should be transferred to electronic format.
- Use email to send documentation if possible. It's time to move away from outdated norms and stop printing sheets "for the protocol." It is easier to send letters to partners and clients by e-mail.
- Using electronic notepads or special applications on smartphones for organizational records and calendars will also help to avoid paper costs.
- Use recycled paper (recycled paper) that is of the same quality as virgin paper.
- Use duplex printing whenever possible. In this case, consumables are saved by 50%. Before printing, check for extra spaces, indents, large line spacing. Use standard fonts Times New Roman, Arial 10-12 size. Avoid large fonts. If there is a transfer to a new page of several sentences, reduce the margins of the document.
- Print only the documentation that you really need on paper.
- Donate waste paper. It is enough to inform employees about the collection of waste paper, and you will notice a reduction in costs and evaluate the benefits of this event.
- Remind employees of the organization to save paper products. Orders to reduce costs are perceived with hostility at work, but intelligible explanations of the benefits of such an action cause completely different emotions and understanding in people. Everyone wants to contribute to the conservation of forests and the improvement of the ecological situation in the world.
