Wastewater treatment facility at the trout farm and recreation center saves 99% of wastewater (Kyrgyzstan)

The recreation center and trout farm “Forel” (trout) is based in an ecologically clean zone 20 kilometers from Bishkek. It is located at the foothills close to Tash-Dobo village. For 19 years the Company has been offering its customers the opportunity of fishing and tasting delicious fish from its own farm as well as spending time with a benefit to health.

“In the early 2000s, I read a newspaper article where Jacques Chirac, the French President, served our president a fish right after he caught it from the pond in a cafe. It impressed me a lot. And this is how I got the idea to build our own trout farm”, - Kubat Kutushov, the owner of “Forel” shares his memories.

In 2018, the Company installed a modern Czech-made automated water treatment plant. The purification efficiency of the wastewater from showers, toilets and kitchens equals to 99%, which makes it possible to reuse the treated water for technical needs and irrigation. Today, the recreation center has a well-developed infrastructure, including a sauna and hotel complex with a winter restaurant (designed to accommodate 70 persons) and a summer café for 300 seats. Guests have plenty of activities to choose from, such as playing volleyball or ping-pong, kayaking in summer and ice skating in winter.

“We have an amenity surrounding us: a dense forest, mountain river, simply, an incredible nature. In such a place, business requires modern solutions and a responsible attitude”, - Kubat Kutushov, owner.
